A big THANK YOU to Andrew Robinson who is planning to complete the Coast to Coast path between Morecambe and Robin Hood’s Bay in just 3 days. He’s running in memory of his brother, Ian and to raise funds for Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide.
“Five years ago I lost by brother Ian in the most horrendous of ways. Ian was obviously in a bad place and I hadn’t seen the signs, I hadn’t clicked that he wasn’t quite himself.
“Ian died tragically by drowning in the Irish Sea from the pier in Whitehaven. He was found ten days later .
“I couldn’t understand why I hadn’t realised he was not himself, I blamed myself for not noticing as did other members of the family. I was beginning to feel very down about it all.
“Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide helped me to realise that it wasn’t my fault and helped me to put things into perspective. Without them I would still be grieving and blaming myself.
“I am running 115 miles in three days, despite suffering from joint pain, that’s 38 miles a day to raise awareness and a few pounds for this valuable charity that I didn’t even know existed before I needed their help.”
