You can donate to us in many ways – every donation will help us to support thousands of people in the UK who have been bereaved by suicide.  If you decide you would like to raise funds for one of our particular support groups, would you please indicate this in your correspondence to us. Thank you for your generosity.

You can make a one off donation to us through BT mydonate

Send SOBS01 followed by the amount e.g. SOBS01 £5 to 70070.  You can donate £1, £2, £3, £4, £5 or £10.

All text donations are free, and won’t come out of any inclusive texts you have as part of your price plan – even if you’re not with Vodafone. You just pay the cost of your donation.  When you make a text donation, it’ll either be deducted from your mobile phone credit or added to your mobile phone bill – and you won’t pay any VAT on your donation. Every penny you donate using JustTextGiving by Vodafone goes to your chosen charity. And if you add Gift Aid (Vodaphone will text you once you donate), charities get even more money by reclaiming any tax you’ve already paid on the amount you give.

You can make a cheque payable to Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide and post it to us at our national office – The Flamsteed Centre, Albert Street, Ilkeston, Derbyshire, DE7 5GU

If you are a UK tax payer and would like us to be able to claim Gift Aid on your donation (boosting its value to us at no cost to you) please complete this declaration and return it to us with your cheque

Payroll Giving

If your employer runs a Payroll Giving scheme, you can use this to make donations to us via PAYE – because money is deducted from your pay before tax is paid, your donations cost you less.   For example, it would only cost an employee who pays tax at the basic rate of 20 per cent £8 to make a £10 donation to their charity.  And it would only cost an employee who pays tax at the higher rate of  40 per cent £6 to make a £10 donation.

You can keep your choice of charity confidential and you can choose how much you want to donate.  For more information, speak with your employer or look at HMRC.

Remember us in your will

You may wish to leave us a donation in your will. You will find advice on how to do this on the HMRC website.
